Esplanade Riel
The bridge over the Red River leading to Provencher Blvd is, in my opinion, one of the most visually appealing features of the Winnipeg skyline. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is under construction at one end, and Winnipeg's French Quarter is at the other. I took a few pictures on Canada day, but I was drawn back to the bridge the other night, thinking that the evening light would be really nice on the bridge. I was lucky to find the moon rising over the old St Boniface Basilica, and occasional flashes of heat lightning.
